ICOWatchlist caught up with Gabe Steinberg, Head of Product Development for Gizer and this is what he had to say about the project’s ICO;
What inspired the Gizer dream? When did you get the Eureka moment?
The Gizer vision was born out of Jack, our CEO’s, desire to provide an infrastructure that could connect an inefficient, disjointed gaming community in ways that provided economic opportunities to tournament hosts. From there, we began to explore all of the other opportunities that could become available to each member of the community once there was more incentive, and less friction, for tournament hosts. Building a central community for competitive gamers, who can connect instantly through the content they’re already hoping to discover, is really what the Gizer network is all about.
How do you set yourself apart from other blockchain-based gaming enterprises?
Well, there are certainly a lot of gaming projects that have entered the market, but Gizer stands out for a number of reasons. We think it important that our app was launched prior to our token issuance, both because it allows us to better understand the different value propositions Gizer offers across the gaming ecosystem, and because it establishes to our investors and supporters that what we’re issuing is by no means speculative or abstract. Also, unlike a lot of the blockchain-based gaming projects on the market, Gizer’s blockchain use cases aren’t betting or wagering, but about allowing gamers to build their own universally accessible gaming profiles, with real-time data tracking hosted on the blockchain.
It seems Gizer goes beyond the main scope of being a gaming platform to hosting some additional services such as free lance services, venues etc, will this not distract the platform from its core mandate?
Our core mandate has always been to provide a platform on which all members of the gaming community, whether it be gamers, hosts, freelancers, businesses, or venues, can connect through the wide array of different interactions and content on Gizer. Part of what makes Gizer such a compelling project is that the entirety of what Gizer provides, the things that add value across the ecosystem, is in fact our core mandate.
How do you plan to create an ecosystem around the project?
Right now, Gizer is home to tons of daily tournaments, products and services, and thousands of engaged users. We’ve implemented new technology into our smart contract that will allow users and token holders to pay gas in GZR without needing to hold ETH in their wallets, significantly reducing any friction for Gizer users who are not yet familiar with cryptocurrencies. The network is already flourishing, and GZR will only serve to enhance the ecosystem we have built.
In addition to that, we are creating GGID in such a way that users will be able to freely trade unlocked GZR items, and will be able to carry their items across games that integrate our technology.
Which exchanges will be trading the GZR tokens?
We’re currently in talks with several exchanges, but unfortunately we can’t announce what exchanges GZR will be on until after the presale.
Briefly run us through how the process of GZR token sale will be done?
The presale is now live to the public and we are accepting ETH and BTC. All participants will be required to pass a KYC check through our partner SAFT Launch. People looking to contribute can sign up on our website, tokensale.gizer.io. The presale will run until December 10th, 2017 and purchasers can get up to 15% bonus GZR on a first-come first-served basis. The official dates for the full sale will be announced at the end of the presale.
