The Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) has announced that it will be starting a diploma course covering the subject of cryptocurrencies. This follows a legalization of cryptocurrencies and their derivatives as well as Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) in Belarus. The legalization of cryptocurrencies in Belarus has hit major headlines as such it is not surprising that educational institutions in the country are beginning to provide a platform to educate its citizens about the new technological and financial phenomenon.
The Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko last week signed a decree on the development of the digital economy. The decree not only paves way for a full scale crypto operation in the country, it also exempts crypto-related income from taxes for the next five years. This singular move is what has triggered the likes of BNTU to offer course in cryptocurrencies.

The crypto-course being offered by BNTU is to span a period of 1 year and 8 months with the first batch expected to start on the 12th of March, 2018. The University adds that the course is not limited to just cryptos but it will also encompass various stock markets and products.
